The 9892 Large Catapult "Blide" can hurl just about any small object you place in the sack. The throwing distance can be adjusted by turning the crank back more or less. Like the Elastolin Siege Tower, the Large catapult has a lever to lock the crank into place. Lifting the lever allows the crank to turn freely.
Once the chain has been pulled in by the crank, an object is placed in the sack. When the chain is pulled off the arm, the object is hurled forward.
Everything about the Elastolin catapult works in the exact same manner as a real catapult; the crank, the arm, the mechanisms, even the counterweight.
The Elastolin Large Catapult "blide" was produced
in 40mm and 70mm scales.
